Begin the tour with Tran Quoc Pagoda for the most fresh, tranquil and peaceful. This is well known as the oldest pagoda built since 6th century. Though centuries has passed and the pagoda has been repaired for times, it is still very special in both Vietnamese and foreign visitors by the construction and ideal location on an island on the West Lake.
Move on to the Temple of Literature – very first University of Vietnam built since 1070 where raised and fostered the talents of country. The place plays very significant roles in inspiring people’s learning eager these days.
Lunch will be served with a set menu of local dishes offering most authentic tastes and impressed delicacy.
This afternoon, let’s enter the Hanoi Old Quarter characterized by small streets with colonial style houses preserved well, shops of variable products from traditional and handmade stuffs to modern things like bamboo water pipe, lantern, fashion, local coffee, drought beer, shoes, candies, street food, pubs, etc.
We will walk around every streets beginning with word “Hang” mean store as here was commercial hub between Vietnamese and Chinese traders once. We also pass by Ancient House, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and finish the tour at Hoan Kiem Lake with reddish bridge leading to Ngoc Son Temple situated on Jade Island.
